Apple Tree is a fun folk song can be used for a myriad of concepts: teach or reinforce steady beat, beat vs rhythm, ta / quarter note, ti-ti / eighth note, the solfege la, sol, mi, and low do, and melodic contour using this catchy song and game! My students ask to play Apple Tree year after year – even my 3rd graders! Easily check students’ understanding of rhythm and solfege using the 4 different worksheets (with answer keys) and rhythm manipulatives.

This product includes two sets of slides, 34 slides each, with two variations on the lyrics: one with “I won’t cry, I won’t shout,” (ti-ti ta, ti-ti ta) and one with “I won’t cry and I won’t shout,” (ti-ti ti-ti ti-ti ta).
